Unfinished Project

How many projects have you started that you never completed or realized it was not a great idea once you got started?

I was logged into today checking some settings on a domain I was transferring and I realized that I own 65 domains. I know to some people that it’s not a lot but 2 months ago I think I had 3. At first I was in shock and did not realize I had so many then I looked at my list and it started to make sense I just never kept an actual number of how many I owned. I know to become an internet entrepreneur it involves owning and managing sites but I did not think I would acquire so many so fast. Read the rest of this entry »

Are you a slimy salesman if you do SEO?

Posted on January 22nd, 2008 as Seo, Sites

Slimy salesmanAre you a SEO Expert? If you are that makes you a slimy car salesman according to Shoemoney.

Last week Shoemoney posted an article Why I do not like 95% of SEO Experts. He states “SEO’s are like the 21st century car salesmen. Most are slimy and have no clue what they are talking about.” Since his article has come out there have been numerous articles stating that is not true and that Shoemoney is wrong.

What is so funny about this situation is Shoemoney decided 2 days after his post is to hold a debate on his radio show Webmaster radio. I find it ironic how he takes a topic that is discussed a lot and bad mouths it to get peoples attention and then uses it to market his radio show which is subscription based service.

So Shoemoney who is the slimy salesman now? It sounds like Shoemoney is trying to sell us a subscription to his radio show so people can discuss the validity of SEO.

What are your thoughts on the comments made by Shoemoney?

Update: Shoemoney is offering the recording of the show for free to listen in case you missed the show here

What am I working on?

Posted on January 21st, 2008 as Misc, Planning, Projects, Sites

After writing my two posts My first steps to become an internet entrepreneur and Becoming an internet entrepreneur I wanted to give an update of what I am working on and my progress.

Right now my main priority is this site. I check my affiliate sites occasionally but right now I am putting 95% of my efforts into this site. I want to focus on one thing at a time because I have the habit of starting 8 projects and finishing 3. The main things I want to work on are tweak the design, work on generating traffic, and applying seo tactics.

My traffic spike is over

Posted on January 17th, 2008 as Projects, Sites

It looks like the traffic spike I had over the weekend is on the decline. I was looking at google analytics this moring and my numbers have defiantly decreased. Monday I had 151 visitors, Tuesday I dropped to 42, and Wednesday I dropped even lower to 29. In some ways its good though because it was not quality traffic. I had a bounce rate of 74% and only gained 2 new rss subscribers. This is good though it lets me know I need to keep writing good content and keep working on my site to improve it.
