Macworld 2008 - Steve brings us all of the new goodies.

CES and Macworld are probably the two most important events in the year for a technology junkie. Whether you attend the event or sit closely at your computer trying to get the latest news it’s our Christmas. Weeks before both events happen predications are made and everyone discusses possible things that might be release. I can’t reiterate enough how much fun these two events are unless you are one of these “junkies” for technology then these last sentences are irrelevant.

CES came to a close last week and this week we got the joys of Macworld 2008. Thankfully the wait is over and Steve Jobs presented the new toys at the keynote speak for MacWorld 2008. The big releases are:

I am considering the Apple TV and the Time Capsule. When the Apple TV was released you had to do everything from your computer then go your Apple TV. I like with the new features you can do everything from your TV itself. Also the price really helps on my decision because I think it is a great product for a $200 price range. I have been debating going to a wireless n network and what better way with a airport extreme with a hard drive to backup my files.

I am excited to see how these products will be released and how they will play out over time. As more gets released I will start posting more technical information on these products. Are there any products you have your eye on? Any products you are going to pre-order? Or have any of these updates made you reconsider the iphone, ipod touch or Apple TV?

The Macbook Air is amazingly thin, but I’ve heard it has heating problems (which a lot of laptops seem to have anyway…). Glad I don’t have a laptop anymore, mine kept overheating.

You know, I was really excited about macworld this year, but it doesn’t seem like anything great even came out of it.

I was hoping that the rumored macbook air would be a skinner sleeker model of the macbook, which would make it WAY cheaper.

with that being said, the movie rentals and update/price cut to the apple TV might just send me over the edge and I might just have to purchase one. (now if they could fit a DVD player into that thing that would be a definate yes!!)

@Monday Yeah there has been talks of overheating, also it does have a lot of features missing to.

@Willhaynes I am in the same boat as you I was all excited and feel let down in some ways. I was really hoping for a 12″ macbook. I do like the improvents on the apple tv too. If it recorded tv I would so buy one.
