After writing my two posts My first steps to become an internet entrepreneur and Becoming an internet entrepreneur I wanted to give an update of what I am working on and my progress.

Right now my main priority is this site. I check my affiliate sites occasionally but right now I am putting 95% of my efforts into this site. I want to focus on one thing at a time because I have the habit of starting 8 projects and finishing 3. The main things I want to work on are tweak the design, work on generating traffic, and applying seo tactics.

The design is being tweaked by Scarlet Graphics. She is doing a doing an awesome job and I can’t wait until she is done. Do not worry it’s not a whole site redesign but it more changes to the current theme I have. As I have mentioned before this is a free theme and it is an awesome design but there is some changes that I feel need to be made so it suites my style.

When it comes to seo I am a complete amateur. I am learning what to do on the fly so it has been lots of research and reading of blogs. I keep debating buying the seo book but I am still reading Blogging Tips. So far it has been an awesome book and I wish I could say I was further along in it but I have been so busy lately. I think I will have to cave and make time to sit down and read it because I know there are some great things on the book that would help me with my blog. I wish I could hire someone to read books for me and they could transfer the knowledge to me like a pda that would be such a time saver.

Thanks to Problogger and DoshDosh I keep learning new ideas to generate traffic though social networks and contests. I have been reading a lot of articles on how to use social networks like StumbleUpon and Twitter to drive more traffic to your site. So far 29% of my traffic has been stumbleupon referrals; it just goes to show you how great stumbleupon. After reading the benefits or running a contest on problogger I decided to run one on my site and over the past week it has helped me get a few new subscribers and give me some extra traffic. On the last day of my contest I had 203 visitors that has been my highest amount of visitors in one day.

So right now my main priorities are to finish the site design, generating traffic, and seo optimization. I also could never forget about creating great content that is always number 1 without thinking.
